Fundraising

As soon as you have completed your registration for the Southern Charity Challenge you should get organised and start your fundraising.

You would hopefully be aware that there is no entry fee for the Southern Charity Challenge. However all participants must agree to commit to the minimum fundraising obiligations;

  • $25 per person or $50 per family entry for the 15km & 21.1km distance events
  • $100 person for the 35km and 60km distance events

We can forward you a receipt book and you can start collecting donations for Oxfam Australia. However if you would like to do your fundraising in an electronic fashion we have created an Every Day Hero link at www.everydayhero.com.au/event/southerncharitychallenge

To create your own individual fundraising site you simply click on the link above then follow the prompts through the Build a Hero Page button. Once you have built your individual hero page you can forward your individualised link to all of your friends, relatives and work contacts and ask them to donate directly to the work of Oxfam Australia on your behalf.

Funds paid at registration or raised by yourself and receipted through receipt books go to Oxfam Australia through the local Fleurieu Oxfam Group. However the funds raised through the Every Day Hero site go direct toward Oxfam Australia.

Obviously the Southern Charity Challenge team are happy for you to raise funds through either method and will credit all funds raised to your personal effort. We simply wanted to create a new and possibly easier pathway for you to raise funds for Oxfam.
